What if I am unable to meet my students Fair Share obligation due to financial hardships?
- The RHS Band Programs are self-funded and the budget encompasses all band classes and extra-curricular program activities. Program expenses include: music copyrights, competition entry fees, equipment, staff members, band camp, bus drivers, uniforms, props, show design and much more. “Fair Share” is the cost per student for participating in the Band each year. It is calculated by dividing the yearly operating budget for each ensemble by the number of students in the band. Students are financially responsible for a portion of their Fair Share, which is published at the start of each year. There are multiple fundraisers to help offset costs.
What is CutTime?
- CutTime is a tool used by RHS Band Boosters to track Student Band expenses.
What fundraising opportunities will there be to assist me in raising money for my students Fair Share?
- The RHS Band Boosters will sponsor fundraising activities, such as volunteering to serve in the concessions at Walnut Creek Amphitheater and sales of Entertainment Books / other products, to help pay these obligations. Click Here or the Signup Genius button at the bottom of this page to look for and signup for current fundraising opportunities.
What happens if I do not pay my students Fair Share by the time full payment is expected?
- Fair share costs are used to fund the RHS Bands programs and participation requires that fair share and costs for marching/concert attire must be paid IN FULL and on time. Failure to meet your students full Fair Share obligation, in full and on time, will result in your students inability to participate in secondary activities such as the end of year Spring Trip and/or any Winter programs.
