Rachel Harshman
Director of Bands

Rachel Harshman is the Director of Bands at Rolesville High School. Ms. Harshman earned her Bachelor’s in Music Education from Appalachian State University, Class of 2024. During her time in school, Ms. Harshman performed with AppState’s Marching Mountaineers, Appalachian Wind Ensemble, Appalachian Symphony Orchestra, Appalachian Symphony Band, Appalachian Concert Band, and the Clarinet Ensemble. Continuing with her passion for AppState, Ms. Harshman has worked as a Camp Counselor at Cannon Music Camp where she taught conducting sessions with her professor, Dr. John Stanley Ross.

Ms. Harshman is a part of the North Carolina Music Educators Association, the National Association for Music Education, and the National Band Association.

Ms. Harshman has worked for bands throughout North Carolina and South Carolina and is excited to begin her professional teaching career as the Director of Bands at Rolesville High School!
